Overwhelmed? Discouraged? Make an Adjustment!

I've been thinking that I am failing in my food storage mission. It's true that since I took some time off from working on bag meals, I have had a hard time getting back on track. It is taking me longer to get the supplies for 15 meals together than I thought it would. 15 meals EVERY week is proving to be too expensive for my food budget, no matter how I adjust my spending in other areas. I'm considering adjusting my time-line to 15 meals every two weeks. I know I can fit that into my budget, and if I find that I can do more, I will! I know when original plans or ideals prove to be too much and seem impossible, most of us have a tendency to give up. I am no exception for sure! But I'm learning that sometimes all you need is an adjustment to the plan to make it feel more attainable and realistic again. I feel slightly defeated that my vision of a fully stocked food storage room won't come as quickly. But excited that by doing storage meals bi-weekly for financial peace, I can turn more attention to organizing my storage room for the meals! Organizing has not been a priority as I've struggled to keep up with my weekly time-line for producing meals. Now I feel like I have the freedom to evenly split my time between both of these significant aspects of achieving my goal and vision. So, watch my calendar for more details and new agendas as I make the needed adjustments.

  1. Brandy, I am so proud of you for doing this blog. I just spend quite a bit of time looking over it more thoroughly and really love everything you have done. Love, love the "what's Brandy making now?" section... and the bag meal tags to print is so cool and so handy. Oh, and I cracked up at your "tools for provident living" section with me and my Mama as one of your "tools". So funny! You are so great my friend! And I think the every 2 week thing is a good idea too. It will give you a bit more time to get everything ready to assemble -- because you and I both know how tedious and time consuming it can be to hunt and gather. Love ya girl!!!
